M A C A U

Only one hour with boat from Hong Kong you find Macau. Macau is known for being a gambling city, but you can find more than casinos and big hotels. Macaus is a former Portuguese colony, from the mid- 16th century until, 1999, and as the first and last European colony in Asia, Macau has more visible colonial history than Hong Kong. In the historic centre of Macau you can clearly see that Macau is a former Portuguese colony with its monuments such as urban squares, churches and streetscapes - and by walking around in the old city you could convince yourself you were in Europe.

We spend the morning sightseeing around in the old town.

In the evning we headed over to the new Macau. We saw the gambling part of Macau, with the enormous hotels and casinos. Macau is raking in five times more money than Vegas, and there´s still more under construction. They say that "Macau is not the Las Vegas of the East - las Vegas is the Macau of the West". You can find the worlds largest casino, and the fifth biggest building on the planet, the Macau Venetian.

Pool party in Macau
Every couple of times a year there is some big big pool parties happening in Macau.

I were excited to attendt a pool party on Hard Rock Hotel hosted by MTV with Benny Benassi spinning at the DJ stand. There were thons of people, high glam factor, beach volley fields, VIP rooms, give aways, cameras, dance floor, many many pools and a great party! We partied all night, and headed straight for the boat back to Hong Kong. Which was everything els than a pleasant trip.
