We were in need for a beach, and a break from the city after alot of sightseeing and all the impressions in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. And Shianokville was apparently the place to go.
Shianokville - a beach town in the south of Cambodia, close to the border of Vietnam. Its a small town, with lots of beach cafees, bars and parties. Always something happening, and always lots of fun. The only negative thing is that the main city beach is not that great. Its small, crowded and a bit dirty. But if you rent scooters, and go to some of the beaches just outside the city, they are nicer and more clean.

As said there is always something happening in this town. Always a party to attend, and you wont miss it cause there are so many people handing out flyers at the beach.
We were in Shianokville during Australian Day, and celebrated it on a booze cruise.

Where to stay:
Monkey Hut, the hostel we would have liked to stay at, was full. So we stayed at Utopia Hostel. Not a bad choice either, it got a great bar, some biljard tables, a nice pool and its cheap, only $3 dollars a night. The only bad thing is when we stayed there they had a bed bug rumor. We did not see or notice any, but would not have stayed if we did!
