I have heard many legendary stories of the infamous tubing in Laos, so we had to check it out! The tubing takes place in the city Vang Vien, on a river just outside the city. There are several of bars downstream in the river, and with each bar there´s a "fisherman" who trows a rope to you when tubing buy. You grab the rope, and he drags you to the bar. You park you tube, party for a while, and when tired of this bar, jump into the tube again and continue down the river to the next.

In front of the river, ready for one day of tubing and partying. The partying starts early, usually around 12.00, and theres alot of happy hour in the river. Because of sunset at 18.00. Then you go home, grab a snack, and then the bars have happy hour.

Vang Vien is beautiful. If you feel like doing something els than partying and tubing, there´s many other activities, like renting a scooter, caving, trekking, kayakking...
Me and Cecilie unfortunately did not do anything other than tubing and watching tv with a hangover in one of the many cafees showing all the episodes of Friends.
