El Chaltén is a cute little place, surrounded by mountains everywhere. This place have everything - you'll have the opportunity to see some majestic mountains, one of the world largest glacier, turqouise lagunas, waterfalls... And most of it you can reach by foot, no need for extra transportation. Its really the best place for doing some stunning day hikes.

Do yourself a favour, wake up to see the sunrise over the mountains.

We did two different day hikes:
- Laguna de los tres (Mount Fitz Roy)
Laguna Torro (Mount Cerro Torro)

You'll also find a lot of small, cool cafes and wine/beer bars to hang out in the evenings.
Eat waffels with ice-cream at La Waffleria on St Martin st.

Where to stay:
Hostel La Comarca. It looks dodgy, but its not. Its cheap, clean, they got a kitchen and its close to the busstation - everything we want from a hostel.
Only 60$ (70nok) pr night.

How to get there:
25 hour bus from El Bolson, 800$ (900kr).
3 hour bus from El Calefate, 120$ (130nok)
