Laguna de los Tres, which takes you up to Mount Fitz Roy, is one of the most beautiful and popular hikes in El Chalten. If we only had one day, this is definitly the one we would have done.
It's a full day hike, takes about 8-9 hours.

How to find it:
Walk to the end of St Martin street and you'll see a big sign for "Laguna de los Tres". There's no chance of missing it.
