Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, good for a one/two days stop.
Its a pretty city, filled with old buildings and cars. And apparently it sometimes "step-in" for Cuba in movies.
Where to eat:
Grab a beer and watch the sunset at La Ronda Café, Ciudadela 1182
Eat a steak at one of the many restaurants of Mercado del Puerto.
Have an Empanada at Empanadas Carolina, Mercado del Puerto. Its some of the best empanadas we ever had, and so many different varieties. Our favourite was "Napolitan - cheese, tomato and basil.
