Santiago, the capital of Chile. We haven't heard many great thing about Santiago from other travellers, only thats it's a good enough stop for two days. So we were pleasantly surprised, we liked Santiago a lot (we only stayed for two days tho).

Where to eat:
Choripan Italiano Queso con todos - Choripan with avocado, tomato and creme freich and extras. jum!
Buy it from a random hotdog stand. Our favourit was Picacchu.
Jewel of India, Manuel Monnt st 1007.
We had big cravings for indian food, for some reason, and found this restaurant on tripadvicer. Good food! But not the cheapest place. and don't buy the rice, its boring and overpriced.
Where to stay:
We stayed at Dominica hostel in the Bellevista area. Its a pretty, design hostel with a nice backyard and a cool bar where they arrange a couple of BBQs a week.
How to get there:
From Mendoza: 8 hour bus, app 300nok
From Uspallata: 6 hour bus, app 250nok
