We went on a three days/two night Dive Safari with
Calipso Dive Center in Taganga. I took my advanced dive course, Julie took her beginner course and Cecilie fun dived.
The diving in National Parque Tayrona is really good, and I felt like a fish part of the movie "Finding Nemo" whilst swimming along with thousand of colorful fishes and beautiful reef.
During my advance course I got to do seven different dives, where five was a part of the course and two where fun dives. All of them which were great.
We started the course of with the fun dives, where we dived down to around 20m, just to catch up with the diving, since its been a while. We swam around, and simply enjoyed being in the water again.
The advanced course consisted of five different dives; A simple training dive. A cave dive; where we dived down to 26m and inside a cave. While inside the cave the dive instructor swam up to the cave "roof" and made an air bubble, where we all, one-by-one, got to swim up to him, take our equipment of inside the air bubble and have a little chat. So cool! A deep dive, where we dived down to 40 (!) meters, and got to see the affects the deep has on our ability to think and react. A navigation dive where we learned how to navigate our way around with a compass. But my favorite by far was the night dive. Diving into the water in complete darkness with only a torch - it is cool! Crabs and big lobsters are walking around on the ground, cute colorful fishes are sleeping side by side with their best friends/mates, and the plankton is glowing in the dark. At one point we sat down, turned our torches of, and played around with the plankton, and once again I felt like a part of a disney movie.
I payed 750 000p (2500nok) for the advance dive course, which included two nights stay at this private beach, in a hammock in the National Parque Tayrona (which is soo beautiful), all food and drinks, course material and 5 dives + 2 fun dive... apr. everything.
We had a private chef who prepared all the food while we were diving, and had everything ready for us once up from the water. The crew is really cool and friendly as well. We had such a great time!
