Halong Bay in sight

After spending one night in Hanoi, we were ready for Halong Bay Junk boat cruise. We left Hanoi at 07am in the morning, and drove app 4 hours to a dock, where a Junk Boat, an old wooden ship, were waiting to take us out to Halong Bay.
Halong Bay is a breathtaking series of over 3000 limestone islands and rocks, of varying shapes and sizes. Its amazingly beautiful and should not be missed when visiting Vietnam.
On the boat

We had signed up for a Halong Bay Junk Boat trip back at the hostel which lasted for two days/one night. During the day we had different activities. We had a canoe trip to a little floating village, where a small group of people have lived for many generations. The parents have their own fish farms and is self sustained, and the children take boats to their floating school.
