The Beaches
Jæren is also known for its stretches of sandy beaches. And there is about 70 kilometers of beaches on the coast of Rogaland. The beaches are popular for a walk, but also very popular for surfers and kitesurfers due to the great waves and wind conditions. Especially Sola Beach is a popular kitesurfing beach, and Bore or Hellestø beach is popular for beginner surfers.
Sola Beach
The Sunday Times has earlier named Sola beach to on of the world´s best beaches.
