We had been talking about a roadtrip in Norway for a while, and finally this summer, we managed to plan, arrange and go through with one - destination Nærøyfjorden in Sogn and Fjordande.
My dad helped us to plan the drive, by giving us a map were he highlighted the road we should follow.

It was a long drive. Supposedly, if you ask googlemaps, the drive should be around 8 hours, but due to the sun and great weather which made us take alot of break, we used 12 hours.

First break.  It was so beauiful that we had to stop and have a lunch break. The break lasted for almost one hour because of the great weather. We sun bathed, and dipped our toes in the ice cold water.

Second break. Låtefossen.
Many touristattractions on the road, and many picture/food stops. Låtefossen is one of the most famous waterfalls in Oddadalen. Its 165 meters high. You can also walk up along the waterfall, and see it from above.

Third break. Hardanger.
Amazing with its fruits threes, and small fruit stands with plums, cherrys and apples. You leave money in a little box on the stand, and help yourself with the fruit you want. Best plums and cherrys in the world! Honestly!

Due to all the fjords and mountains in Norway, we had to take some ferrys. We enjoyed the break we got from the driving, and soaked in the beautiful views. From the last ferry it was only a short ride to Nærøyfjorden and our destination Gudvangen Camping.

Where to stay:
There is alot of campsites close to Nærøyfjorden, were you can eather rent a hut or bring your own tent. To bring you own tent is definitly the cheapst! We paid 100kr each night, and huts were 400-800kr each night depending on size. Also alot of the huts were prerented or booked.
We stayed ad Gudvangen camping for three nights. Its an OK campsite with a lot of space and good toilet facilities. The locations is not great, its close to a "high way", and you´ll hear cars and trailers driving by all day long.
We did not see however any campsites having a better location.

We put up the tent next to the only tree on the campsite.
Btw love love love our yellow camping chairs we got from my mum.
Making food on our camping stove.
